Day two in London we decided to explore the city for the afternoon. The train from Amanda’s place in Earlsfield to Waterloo was only 15 minutes and once there we walked across the bridge the get a good look at the Eye, Big Ben, and the Thames river. Then right to all the squares (Trafalgar, Piccadilly Circus, and leicester) and a pub for a break. Pubs were packed due to remembrance day celebrations.
Spotted this group in Trafalgar Square taking Christmas card photos.
Then we met Kirsten, Ian and Jesse for some lunch and a stroll through Covent Gardens. I met Kirsten at a hostel in Florence 20 years ago. The day we met we had gone out shopping separately and then met up after to go out at night. Turned out we both bought the same leather jacket and clothes. Kind of funny that 20 years later we are still matching our outfits…
That night had a great home cooked dinner with Amanda and then off to Scotland for our last world tour stop before home.
Love the picture of you guys holding the newspaper, very cute.
