Cuba… 4:30 am. I’ve been sick in the hotel room all day (food poisoning or malaria?) and decide that now that the fever is gone, I’ll take a walk to see what the hotel looks like.
I was surprised to see how many people were still up. I notice pockets of people throughout the hotel taking advantage of the resorts 24/hr all you can drink policy. I could tell these people were good solid drinkers… they knew how to pace themselves so they could keep going all night and most of the day to get every drop they could take in (with a short nap by the pool early morning). So curiousity got the best of me… who are these people? Russians maybe – they can hold the alcohol – maybe Danish? I decided to do my research and find out. Of the 7 separate groups of people (groups ranged from two to six people)… ALL were Canadian – east, west, central… but all Canadian. Interesting.
