Trying to live life with sandy toes and laughter

pause please.

Why is it that we don’t (or i don’t) realize how young we are until we get older? Last year, like every other year, I had a hard time turning 36. Thought it seemed older than I wanted to be. But now, on the cusp of another birthday 36 seems young. It’s always the last few days of being an age that I really appreciate that age and really don’t want to let it go : )

I was writing the age out to see if I could get used to it. First 36… then I tried on the 37.

I’m too young to be that old.

I hear you. If I could claw my way back to youth, I would. But I vowed when I was young (pre-30s) that I would never be that desperate older woman who lies about her age or answers the age question with, “How old do you think I am?” So here I am, 37, looking that woman in the mirror. Geez.Happy birthday, Tammy!

Just a little advise from Mom, keep saying you are young because you are, and so am I, I think your old when you hit 85, but then if I get there I’ll still think I am young, you can never go back so enjoy the moment.
