Fire Big Fire… not
So while I was walking to class last night I noticed the new W2 Community Media Arts building at 112 Hastings. Cool because they have set it up so there are screens with flames in the windows. Hard to capture the effect in a photo. You have to see it.
Anyway, I thought it was interesting and wondered how long it had been there without me noticing. I had just been in the area 2 days prior. Here’s the convo I had with the security guard at the bank across the street:
me: Excuse me, how long has that been like that.
Guard: Huh?
Me: (pointing) The building… how long has it been like that?
Guard: Oh don’t worry, it’s not really on fire. it’s just a screen.
