I’m one of those lucky people that has to go into the doctors every week for an allergy shot. Essentially they inject you with a serum of the stuff you are allergic to gradually increasing the dose so that you body can build up immunity to it – or something like that. So lately with it being my bad allergy season I haven’t been able to up my dose. Stuck at .06, every time they try to go up to .07 I have a minor anaphylactic reaction (feels like my throat is closing). So last week I’m about to get the shot, look down as the doctor is about to put the needle in my arm and notice that the needle looks a lot fuller than normal. I point this out to the doc. She looks at the chart and gets all flustered. Oh, ah… I read the chart wrong… it’s supposed to be .06. She was trying to put in 6! Not .06, not .6 but a full 6! Yickes. Haven’t gone back this week… a little too close for comfort for me.
On a lighter note, I volunteered to be a bachelorette and was auctioned off to raise money for charity. Crazy I know, but the night was pretty fun. Very hot having a bunch of guys bidding for you. I do what I can for charity ; )
