17 days to the Olympics

I found some cool ways to participate in the celebrations for those that can’t be here in Vancouver. Actually these would be fun even if you are here:
There’s this CODE project where you register and then during the Opening ceremonies you will be emailed some sort of ‘virtual souvenir’ and the souvenir is also your invite to participate virtually in the Closing ceremonies. I have no idea what that will mean but am curious to see how they incorporate the online and social media into the celebrations with this one.
The other cool thing is this ‘Vectoral Elevation’ sounds kind of dirty but it’s not. They’ve added these lasers/lights to False Creek and during the games you can go online and choreograph them into different designs. Everything will be shown via web cam. I wish I was in my old apartment on False Creek – it would be cool to set the light show in my own back yard!

Plug in your travel plans, and you will get a list of all the flights that are available. Southwest typically charges more reasonable prices than other airlines, and there are no hidden fees. The price you see is the price you get although tax and the government fee that is attached to all flights does apply. For lower prices than you can probably get anywhere else look at the "web only" fares, but keep in mind that these fares are not refundable.
